ROB BISHOP ENDORSES CELESTE MALOY FOR CONGRESS

Utah – Today, Rob Bishop, who faithfully served Utah as a member of Congress for 18 years, announced his endorsement of Celeste Maloy in her campaign to fill the vacancy of retiring Congressman Chris Stewart in Utah’s Second Congressional District.

“Congressman Chris Stewart’s value to Utah has been his knowledge of rural lands, Hill AFB, and Congressional procedure,” said Bishop. “As a lands attorney and legislative staffer who worked these issues through Congress, Celeste Maloy possesses these same qualities. I’ve known Celeste for years. She is the right person for this seat. I am endorsing Celeste for Congress because I know she will be a conservative fighter for Utah and the west. She also has a sense of humor.”

“I am honored to have the support of Congressman Rob Bishop who always stood strong for our rural communities, Hill Air Force Base, and shared conservative principles,” said Maloy. “Like Congressman Bishop, I am running for Congress to deliver conservative policies that get results for Utah’s families and small businesses. I’ll fight everyday to secure our border, protect our Constitutional rights, rein in inflation, and stop the federal government’s overreach into our public lands.”

Celeste Maloy is a graduate of Southern Utah University’s School of Agriculture and received her law degree from Brigham Young University. She began her career in public service as a Soil Conservationist at the United States Department of Agriculture in Beaver, Utah.

After finishing her law degree, Celeste went on to serve as a Deputy County Attorney in Washington County, a Public Lands Attorney for the Utah Association of Counties, and a Staff Attorney for the Washington County Water Conservancy District. Most recently, she has been serving the people of Utah’s Second Congressional District in her role as Chief Legal Counsel.
